BeeldBlad

BeeldBlad is an OGC Web Mapping Service (WMS) client to be used on web pages. BeeldBlad (Dutch for "image sheet") is written in Adobe Flash and can therefore be used by all kind of browsers. It can be downloaded free of charge, so you can use it in your web mapping application.

How to use?

Open the select layer dialog (top button). Select one or more layers from the layers list at the left, add them to the active layers list at the right, and close the configuration panel by hitting one of the buttons at the left. The requested layers will be retrieved from the server and presented in the display. With the up and down key the sequence of the layers can be changed. And you can select the projection you want, but of course only from the available projections at this server and not all layers are available for each projection.

select layer: Opens the select layer dialog. A map can be opened by hitting the black triangle left of the map. The select layer dialog is closed when hitting any button (for instance select layer again).
zoom in: Place the cursor inside the image and press the left mouse button. Zoom in will start around this point. Note: zooming in or out can also be done using the scroll wheel on the mouse. This can be done at any time, the zoom in or out button doesn't have to be used.
zoom out: Place the cursor inside the image and press the left mouse button. Zoom out will start around this point. Note: zooming in or out can also be done using the scroll wheel on the mouse. This can be done at any time, the zoom in or out button doesn't have to be used.
crop: Place the cursor inside the image and press the left mouse button, keep the button pressed and select the area to crop.
pan: Place the cursor inside the image and press the left mouse button, keep the button pressed and drag the image.
reload: Reload the image using the overall bounding box of the active layer(s).
information: Opens the information screen. Information about BeeldBlad, the WMS and the active layer(s) are presented. The information screen is closed by hitting any button (for instance information again).
add: Add the selected layer(s) to the active layers list. Multiple layers can be selected at once by selecting a map or using the [CTRL] button. Newly added layers are placed on top of the existing active layers.
remove: Remove the selected layer(s) from the active layers list. Multiple layers can be selected at once by using the [CTRL] button.
up: Move the selected layer(s) up in the active layers list, which means to the front in the viewer.
down: Move the selected layer(s) down in the active layers list, which means to the back in the viewer.
projection: Select the projection of the active layers. If a projection is not available for a layer in the active layers list, this layer is not shown but the layer is still kept in cache. When switching to a projection which is available for this layer, the layer is again shown in the active layers list and in the viewer. 


If it doesn't work?
